Business Analyst

SUMMARY

The IT Business Analyst identifies opportunities to improve systems and processes, translates business needs into technical deliverables, and aligns priorities between business and technology teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

This role works closely with stakeholders to define objectives, gather and document requirements, and support the design and delivery of technology solutions that meet organizational goals.

The IT Business Analyst acts as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring solutions are clear, efficient, and aligned with strategic priorities.

• RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with stakeholders to define and articulate information, process needs, and challenges.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and technical requirements, including process flows, business cases, feature lists, use cases, and templates.
• Conduct gap analyses to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.
• Solicit and analyze project requirements through interviews, workshops, and data analysis; conduct data and process analysis on an ongoing and ad hoc basis.
• Assist in testing and validating solutions to ensure business objectives are met.
• Partner with leadership to establish and define technology requirements.
• Manage product backlogs in Azure DevOps or similar platforms, build user stories, and participate in agile scrum meetings.
• Deploy and audit user acceptance testing as required.
• Drive BA efficiency through continuous learning and process improvement.
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
• Develop domain knowledge of business operations and organizational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and practices.
• REQUIREMENTS Degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• 3+ years of experience translating business process needs into clear requirements, including elicitation, backlog management, process flows, feature lists, use cases, and user stories.
• 3+ years of experience performing data analysis, including basic SQL, validating business data needs, and troubleshooting.
• Azure DevOps knowledge.
• Experience in an agile scrum environment with solution design teams preferred.
• Proven ability to analyze and interpret data, identify opportunities, and propose solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to develop creative, practical solutions to complex business challenges.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid project and time management skills; able to prioritize effectively.
• Adaptable, agile, and open to change, with strong learning agility.
