Key responsibilities :

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs and procedures aligned with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform routine risk evaluations, safety checks, and examinations to pinpoint possible dangers and guarantee adherence.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Offer leadership, mentorship, and support on EHS matters to the site leadership team and employees.
• Coordinate and guarantee compliance with FDA regulations concerning biologics manufacturing, including cGMP.
• Ensure site readiness for regulatory inspections and audits.
• Establish resource conservation and sustainability initiatives.
• Develop and manage the EHS budget.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure clear communication and alignment on safety standards and requirements.
• Lead and manage internal safety audits and external audits from clients and regulatory bodies.
• Keep current with all new and pending EHS regulations that might impact the business.
• Provide information and mentorship to Lonza management on safety and environmental issues related to current and proposed processes, equipment, and procedures.
• Maintain all records and reports as defined by regulatory agencies and corporate guidelines.
• Review and assess new chemicals, pharmaceutical ingredients, and other materials, providing industrial hygiene monitoring as needed.
• Coordinate the Emergency Response and Business Continuity Plans.
• Assist in the development of controls to reduce or eliminate hazards found within the workplace.
