Job Description :
Teach the 3-credit course, "Fashion History and Culture" which supports the Fashion Design and Merchandizing minor and serves as a general education course.
Develop a course syllabus and lectures, in alignment with college standards.
Regularly check AIC email for timely correspondence with Dean, Department / Division Chair, students and other members of the AIC community.
Be available to meet with students, as needed, before or after class time or at other scheduled times throughout the week.
Course description : "Fashion has always reflected the times. The story of every human being in every culture of all identities has been reflected by the clothes we wear. In this course we will study how fashion has been used to promote propaganda as well as assimilation and individualism. We will discuss the role fashion plays in our society as a key element to the world economy. The relationship between fashion and multi-media will also be discussed and will lead to a major group project breaking down the unattainable standards of beauty."
