Job Title : Automation Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Controls Engineer to join our dynamic consulting firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Siemens TIA Portal 17 and HMI - WinCC 8, with 3-5 years of experience in Siemens and Controls Engineering. This role will be based in Lenexa, KS with occasional travel. The Controls Engineer will primarily support pharmaceutical clients, so familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement control systems using Siemens TIA Portal 17 and HMI WinCC 8.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems and automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and team members.
  • Participate in project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
  • Travel internationally (15-20%) to support project installations, commissioning, and client meetings.
  • Program in standalone HMI WinCC 8.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Siemens and Controls Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal 17 and HMI WinCC 8.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Work Environment

    Candidates can be based locally in Kansas City and report to the office in Lenexa, or work fully remotely from the US if necessary. There will be occasional travel to the client site in Seoul, South Korea. You will join a team of about 30 controls engineers, working on project-based assignments that offer a diverse range of projects primarily focused in the pharmaceutical industry. This position offers the opportunity to travel internationally approximately 15% of the time when needed and the flexibility to work remotely.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00 / hr.
