Director of Engineering

Position Overview

The Director of Foundry Engineering will oversee the engineering department, leading innovative projects in aluminum / magnesium casting and metal manufacturing. This role requires strategic leadership to drive efficiency, quality, and safety in manufacturing processes while ensuring alignment with company goals and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the engineering team to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies for aluminum / magnesium casting and metal manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with production teams to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
  • Establish and monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in foundry operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; a Master's degree is a plus
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of aluminum / magnesium casting, die casting, and metal manufacturing processes.
  • Proven track record of successful project management in a foundry or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
