As a part of Team Smiley, you’ll represent Pittsburgh’s leading restaurant chain and work with the public in a high-profile role as a brand ambassador. It’s a great opportunity for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in marketing, communications, social media, or public relations to gain hands-on experience, both in the field and in the office . Our interns are an integral part of our Marketing Team and are the face of Eat’n Park in the neighborhoods we serve. You’ll receive competitive pay and exclusive team member discounts to Eat’n Park Hospitality Group restaurant brands. The schedule provides between 20 and 35 hours a week during the summer months.

Field experience

Team Smiley interns are the driving force behind Eat’n Park’s mobile marketing program. They operate and maintain Smiley’s Cookie Cruiser while traveling through Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia – and, they have fun while doing it! Our brand ambassadors create smiles all summer long at community and family-friendly events with Smiley mascot appearances and free Smiley Cookie decorating. Members of Team Smiley work as a part of a cohesive team, independent of a supervisor, throughout the summer. 75% of their time will be spent interacting with guests and representing the Eat’n Park brand within the community.

Office experience

At least one day a week, interns work at our Corporate Support Center office alongside the marketing department to brainstorm and develop new projects, execute special assignments, attend both personal and professional development workshops, and contribute weekly to our TikTok and social media accounts. They have incredible exposure to senior leadership within the company through weekly networking lunches and will present an end-of-summer presentation to recap the Team Smiley experience.

We’re looking for a group of interns who will :

• Professionally and positively represent the Eat’n Park image and Smiley icon
• Deliver Eat’n Park’s brand message outside of our restaurants
• Assist the marketing department in planning and implementing on-site promotions
• Provide insight into current marketing projects
• Self-manage the timeline and execution of new projects as assigned
• Independently manage Team Smiley’s social media accounts
• Ideate and aid in the production of TikToks for the Eat’n Park account
• While in the field, charm guests by being upbeat, outgoing, and engaging
• Take turns performing as Smiley, Eat’n Park’s mascot
• Safely drive and operate Smiley’s Cookie Cruiser and other company vehicles

Qualifications :

Location : The greater Pittsburgh area

Will travel to community events around Pittsburgh and its suburbs, occasionally entering Ohio and West Virginia.
