Cheerleading - MS Head Coach

Des Moines Public Schools is seeking a Head Cheerleading Coach at Weeks Middle School.

Job Summary :

Provides leadership to develop and maintain a high-quality cheer program that promotes school spirit. Supports each participating student in achieving a higher level of skill, an enhanced appreciation for the values of discipline and teamwork, and an increased level of selfesteem.

Successful candidates for this position will possess :

1. Previous experience in cheerleading as participant and / or coach or relatedposition.

2. High school diploma orequivalent.

3. Valid driver’s license.

4. The ability to drive students to competition sites asrequired.

5. Competency working in a culturally diverse environment or the willingness to acquire theseskills

Stipend for this position : $2,171

Stipend amounts are based on a percentage of the base salary negotiated by DMEA. Stipends are subject to be prorated if the full season is not worked.
