Overview
This job entails gathering, processing and disseminating crime statistical data requested by departmental personnel or others to identify crime trends and patterns. Will be responsible for distributing information from other agencies to the department. Fulfilling specific requests for information from Investigators. Develop reports on inmate release for dissemination to the department. Create reports by retrieving, manipulating, and calculating data as needed. Perform long term analysis on case data by compiling quarterly and yearly reports. Identify patterns of activity or behavior, predicts future activity and provide suspect leads and convey findings.
Responsibilities
- Handle requests for crime statistical data, gather, process, and disseminate information to departmental personnel or others to Identify crime trends and patterns
- Distribute information received from other agencies to the department, fulfilling specific requests for information from investigators
- Assemble Texas Department of Criminal Justice inmate release notification into reports and distribute throughout the department
- Notify Officers or safety advisories
- Create reports for various specific purposes by retrieving, manipulating, and calculating data needed
- Keep up-to-date, accurate records by performing long term analysis on case data
- Compile quarterly and yearly reports, analyze offense data by beat and report district and distribute to CID bureaus and patrol
- Respond to requests from outside CID by acquiring detailed specifications from requesting divisions or agencies
- Perform time estimates to obtain authorizations for project and Integrating work with regular duties to meet schedules
- Identify patterns of activity or behavior to predict future activity
- Provide suspect ILEADS and convey findings through written reports or maps to CID and patrol by performing periodic analysis on case data
- Work with CID bureaus to provide crime incidence data to them and patrol
- Retrieve and collate Daily offense data from ILEADS
- Issue periodic reports compiled from data to the CID bureau heads and to the Uniform Executive Officer for distribution to district substations
- May be asked to perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree (AA / AS); or Two (2) year technical certificateTwo (2) years of applicable job experienceLicenses and Certifications

A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hireEmployment Testing
