QA Supervisor Job Summary :
A Quality Assurance Supervisor is primarily responsible for providing leadership and direction to department technicians, and managing daily operations while ensuring adherence to USDA and Company quality and safety standards.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
Supervise, schedule and lead QA Technicians and team members, ensuring safe food handling practices and regulatory compliance.Communicate with USDA team members.Monitor plant floor for quality and food safety issues.Provide training for the weekly QA meetings.Monitor samples submission form before packing.Perform QA hold releases and transactions and WH transfers.Help with any implementation of programs and procedures.Create, maintain and verify maintain paperwork of all production and quality paperwork.Order supplies as needed.Oversee hold releases.Communicate when product is out of specification with the management team and techs.Assist in preparation and execution of customer, corporate, and third party auditsEnsure compliance with regulatory programsPerform document reviews, ensuring completion and accuracyAll other relevant duties as requiredJob Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED required, preferably Bachelor degree in Food, Animal, Poultry Science or other closely related fieldPrevious QA and food manufacturing experiencePrevious supervisory experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in poultry or meat processingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBilingual (English / Spanish) skills preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProficient computer and analytical skillsDetail orientedPhysical / Environmental Factors :
