Job Overview : The Director of Information Technology is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for managing and advancing all aspects of technology at Albertus Magnus College. This role ensures the effective operation, security, and evolution of the college’s IT systems and services in support of teaching, learning, and administration. The Director will lead a team of IT professionals and is responsible for infrastructure, user support, cybersecurity, compliance, enterprise systems—including Ellucian Colleague—and technology planning. This is an in-person position.

Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Cultural Skills : Candidates must have strong organizational skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively with partners in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment supporting Albertus Magnus College's mission as a student-centered, liberal arts institution. Commitment to undergraduate education and student success.
Technology Skills : Proficient in Google Suite, LMSs, portal and email systems, MS Office tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), e-mail, and the Internet. Ability to learn new applications quickly, including organization-wide information systems and department-specific software applications. Ability to teach by leveraging the learning management system and other technology tools.
Language Skills : Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively provide information and positively respond to questions from both external and internal customers both in person and by phone. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Reasoning Ability : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a number of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work independently and as a group member in developing and executing project plans. Ability to work in the theoretical arena and apply logic as appropriate.

Full-time employees are eligible to receive medical, dental, and vision benefits. Full-Time employees can earn between 18-23 paid time off a year. The employer covers tuition remission after 90 days of employment and covers 100 % (employees responsible for books and technology fees). The college is committed to work-life balance and has a summer schedule from June through August. We currently have 14 paid holidays, including a winter break. You will have the opportunity to participate in our retirement plan from day one, and after one year of employment, the college contributes depending on your service years.
