Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer who will be responsible for reducing mainframe dependency and building cloud-native solutions. The Full stack engineer will be hybrid in Merrimack, NH.

Responsibilities for the Senior Full Stack Java Developer include :

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
Build and test end-to-end data pipelines and APIs to bridge mainframe systems with AWS cloud infrastructure
Collaborate with architects, product owners, and peer developers to deliver technical improvements and platform enhancements
Participate in code reviews, CI / CD pipeline development, and testing automation
Use observability tools to monitor and troubleshoot production systems

Requirements for the Senior Full Stack Java Developer include :

7+ years of experience in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot development

Strong understanding of OOP principles, collections, and multithreading

Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS / ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, SQS, EC2, IAM

Experience with Kafka for event-driven architecture and real-time data processing

Familiarity with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure as code

Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases; familiarity with CockroachDB is a plus

Solid understanding of testing frameworks and CI / CD pipelines

Exposure to front-end frameworks and UI development is a plus

Compensation for the Senior Full Stack Java Developer includes :

Hourly rate : $75-80hr
