If you are in search of a new opportunity where you are able to use your accumulated knowledge to lead and develop a quality inspection team, this position is for you! The role is responsible for effective quality leadership, development, and performance (quality control, continuous process improvement, team development) for quality inspection operations in Austin, TX. In this position you will work closely with product line managers, other program quality / quality assurance professionals, and BAE Systems logistics / supply chain counterparts to provide value-added operations inspector management, support of defect detection for buy items, and guidance toward achieving near-term goals, longer-term strategic objectives, and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements.

Primary duties include :

• Provide direction, supervision, and guidance of receiving inspection team (incoming inspection) to ensure alignment with customer requirements, quality policy, industry standards (J-STD-001, IPC-A-600 / 610), strategic objectives and organizational goals
• Collaborate with management for planning, execution, and oversight of process improvements, projects of special interest, and product line or business area related initiatives
• Lead the receiving inspection team to determine strategy and tactical deployment, improve performance (using six sigma tools), lower costs, and generate innovative solutions with the product lines and business areas
• Provide employee performance management, merit and performance reviews, coaching, counseling, career development, training, employee administration, and effective communications

Full-Time Salary Range : $95106 - $161680
