What You'll Do :

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.

Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel.

Assist with access control by monitoring points of entry and exit, verifying identification as required by site procedures.

Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and / or contractors to provide information and assistance as needed.

Complete required logs and reports accurately and in a timely manner, documenting all activities and incidents.

Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies, procedures, and post orders.

Minimum Requirements :

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.

At least one year of security-related experience is required.

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as per client requirements.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
