DEPARTMENT : Game Building

LOCATION : International Gamco (9335 N 48th St. Omaha, NE)

SCHEDULE : Monday - Friday (8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM)

PAY RANGE : Category 7

What You'll Do

This position is a full-time permanent position in a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing of charitable and lottery gaming products, including pull-tab tickets (break-open tickets) and bingo paper.

The Game Development Specialist is responsible for the development of new games, ensuring they are built to be as cost-effective and manufacturing friendly as possible. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, programming, and databases to continuously improve game-building efficiency. The specialist must stay up to date with the latest hardware and software advancements, making recommendations to the Design and Game Development Manager to enhance departmental productivity. In addition to game development, this role involves coordinating with internal and external teams to manage project timelines, regulatory approvals, and quality control.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field, with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience. They should be familiar with game development software, tools, and current technologies, with prior experience in game development or project coordination highly preferred. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication, time management, and troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include :

Assist in the development and production of new games, ensuring all project milestones are met.
Collaborate with external programmers and internal teams to streamline the game-building process.
Monitor and update game approval statuses in Symix for each respective state.
Estimate costs and resource allocation for new game development projects.
Create and maintain detailed production specifications and working papers to ensure quality control.
Verify and modify game payout structures as needed.
Act as a liaison between departments (Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, and Shipping) to provide real-time updates on job statuses and state approvals.
Stay up to date with evolving software, hardware, and industry trends relevant to game development.
Ensure compliance with changing state regulations by coordinating with the Quality Control Manager.
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with press schedules and deadlines.
Organize and prioritize development tasks to meet both internal and external commitments.

What You'll Need

High School Diploma or GED.

Associate's degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

2 to 4 years of technical training or experience in area of responsibility.

Familiarity with game development software and tools.

Knowledge of the latest game development technologies and trends.

Prior experience in game development, project coordination, or production management is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of game development processes, state approval regulations, and quality control procedures.

Knowledge of Symix or similar ERP systems is a plus.

Troubleshooting abilities.

Ability to objectively review information pertinent to position.

Effective in time management.

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in an organized manner within a fast-paced environment.

Ability to apply strong attention to detail and produce work with accuracy.

Ability to work independently and self ‐ direct work, and in a team-oriented environment.

Aptitude to learn new computer software.

Ability to prioritize workflow, maintain schedules and follow up to meet deadlines.

Keen attention to detail.

Ability to work well in a diverse environment.

Additional Requirements :

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (sponsorship is not available).

Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
