Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Center! This position involves providing exceptional nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment. You will perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes according to established standards and practices, all while upholding the hospital's core mission.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Maintain compliance with the hospital's attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Align all job responsibilities with the organization's core values, mission, and vision.
  • Complete all duties as per departmental policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on nursing practices through ongoing education and training.
  • Participate in staff meetings and ensure timely completion of mandatory training and competency evaluations.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive care for all patients, considering their individual needs and backgrounds.
  • Utilize appropriate protective clothing and equipment when necessary.

Working Conditions :

  • Work in a well-lit, air-conditioned environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Potential exposure to high noise levels, bright lights, and various hazardous substances or body fluids.
  • Ability to smoothly transition between tasks of different natures while maintaining efficiency and composure.
  • Work periods may involve high stress and fluctuating workloads.
  • Flexible scheduling may include the need for overtime.

    • Education Requirements :

  • Associate Degree in Nursing from a state-accredited institution (Required).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a state-accredited institution (Preferred).

    • Experience Requirements :

  • 1-2 years of nursing experience (Preferred).

    • Certifications and Licensure :

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Georgia license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within six months of hire.
  • Georgia Stroke Core Curriculum (GSCC) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are required within six months of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or equivalent must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Crisis Response Training (CRT) is required within one year of hire.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is required within one year of hire.

    • General Skills :

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Near normal vision with the ability to distinguish colors.
  • Good manual dexterity and coordinated movement.

    • Physical Demands :

  • Standing : Continuously (67-100% of the shift).
  • Walking : Frequently (34-66% of the shift).
  • Sitting : Occasionally (1-33% of the shift).
  • Climbing : Occasionally (1-33% of the shift).
  • Bending / Stooping : Frequently (34-66% of the shift).
  • Twisting at the waist : Occasionally (1-33% of the shift).
  • Pushing / Pulling : Frequently (34-66% of the shift).
  • Reaching above shoulder : Occasionally (1-33% of the shift).
