Traveling Mechanical Superintendent (East Rochester)

Job Description :

Talon is seeking a qualified Mechanical Piping Superintendent that has a minimum of 10 years experience in welded fuel piping systems installation and maintenance. This includes commercial fuels, jet fuel, bulk oil, and terminal work; this includes both above ground and underground installations. Candidates must be able to manage, coordinate, and control all aspects of work sites including safety, crewmembers, equipment, inspections, and work schedules. Ideal candidate will have experience installing up to 16 diameter piping- in excavated and above ground conditions. This job requires travel.

Responsibilities / Skills include :

• Proficiency in layout / grade; maintain quality standards per contract documents
• Excellent communication skills with ability to document daily work activity, knowledge of jobsite safety (OSHA and EM385)
• Competency in excavation, welding, lifting, quality control duties, and the proper commissioning of fuel systems.
• Capable of identifying existing and potential hazards related to safety or environmental concerns, be able to apply company procedures and policies to work situations
• Ability to manage, plan, coordinate, and control all assigned project activities within budget guidelines
• Ability to read, understand, and adhere to plans and specifications including P&IDs.
