Recovery Technician

Description

In accordance with the agency's mission, vision, values and goals, the Recovery Technician serves as support staff who

monitors residents while the residents achieve treatment in a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment during their

residency at the facility. The Recovery Technician will interact with residents, co-workers, HCBC's team members and

vendors daily demonstrating self-initiative, professionalism, and positive leadership at a residential facility. The Recovery

Technician must be alert and have solid observation skills to report and document the resident's activities and any change

of behavior. The Recovery Technician must be able to work under supervision and make good sound decisions without

detailed instructions.

Experience and Education Qualifications :

High School diploma or GED

AND

One to three years of successful experience in substance disorder facility preferred.

NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

No candidate may be considered for employment who is, or has been for the past two (2) years under the supervision of Federal, State, and / or County or Municipal Corrections Department nor

have any pending felony or misdemeanor charges other than minor traffic charges.

Driving may be required for this position. The successful candidate must have and remain in possession of a valid current driver's license, automobile insurance, and be insurable under the

agency's motor vehicle insurance policy.
