Director, Biostatistics - Obesity

Join BioSpace as a Director in our Global Development Clinical Biostatistics team. This role requires a strong background in biostatistics, excellent leadership, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to drug development and regulatory strategies while fostering collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Biostatistics department, articulating drug development questions, assessing endpoint feasibility, and framing statistical approaches.
• Design clinical experiments and interventional studies, generate and analyze data, and interpret results for decision-making.
• Work with Strategic Project Teams on clinical and regulatory strategies; represent statistical issues in regulatory agency meetings.
• Develop and deliver training to non‑statistical colleagues, create new infrastructure and processes, and represent the company at professional associations, conferences, and publications.
• Mentor and supervise less experienced statisticians, ensuring other programs are properly supported and potentially manage full‑time staff.
• Collaborate with Medical Directors, Clinical Scientists, Regulatory Affairs, Pre‑clinical Scientists, Statistical Programming, Data Management, and Medical Writing to design and analyze clinical trials.
• Guide staff in preparing materials for regulatory interactions (analysis plans, tables, figures, listings) and co‑present findings to regulatory agencies and management.
• Identify gaps in processes, lead working groups to implement improvements, develop and revise SOPs, and lead research teams to establish new statistical methodologies.
• Prepare presentations and reports to communicate statistical findings to project teams, management, and regulatory bodies.

Salary Range (annually)

$202,000.00 - $336,600.00
