Job Summary :
Under the direction of the Assistant Director for External Affairs, the Communications Manager develops and executes strategies that enhance WIFA’s visibility and public understanding of its programs.
This position produces engaging content across digital and print platforms, manages social media, website content, and media relations, and supports agency leadership with presentation materials and stakeholder communications.
The role combines strategic storytelling, visual design, and outreach to strengthen relationships with partners, borrowers, and the public while ensuring consistent and accessible online presence across WIFA’s digital channels.
Job Duties :
- Develop and publish written content including newsletters, press releases, and feature stories highlighting agency programs, funded projects, and community impact
- Create and design digital and print collateral such as infographics, reports, one-pagers, and presentation materials that communicate WIFA’s mission and results
- Manage agency social media and digital outreach channels (including website content management and updates) and adapt materials for platform-specific engagement
- Support media relations efforts by drafting press materials, maintaining media lists, and preparing background information and visuals for interviews or editorials
- Provide communications and presentation support to agency leadership and Board, including speech drafts, talking points, and slide decks for Board and stakeholder events
- Coordinate communications logistics for stakeholder and advisory group meetings, ensuring clear materials and follow-up documentation
- Assist with event promotion and on-site coverage (photography, recaps, collateral) for conferences, meetings, and outreach engagements
