A leader in residential and light commercial HVAC services is hiring for an HVAC Lead Install Technician based in Harleysville PA.
The HVAC Lead Install Technician oversees residential installation and replacement projects in occupied homes and existing buildings. This role directs on-site work ensures clean safe and code-compliant installations and delivers a 5-star customer experience. The technician partners with dispatch office staff management and peers to maintain schedule integrity quality standards and job profitability.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install replace start up and commission HVAC systems : furnaces air conditioners heat pumps boilers and related components.
- Inspect existing systems diagnose performance issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot mechanical electrical and refrigeration faults using appropriate meters gauges and diagnostic tools.
- Perform routine tasks : coil cleaning filter changes refrigerant checks / charging per EPA guidelines.
- Install modify and repair ductwork to meet airflow and ventilation requirements.
- Test systems for correct operation safety and efficiency; document readings and results.
- Communicate clearly with customers explain findings options and maintenance recommendations.
- Maintain accurate job records : labor time materials start-up data and noted issues.
- Uphold safety standards (OSHA company policies NFPA 70E) and maintain a clean organized mechanically sound company vehicle.
- Adhere to uniform / appearance guidelines and all department procedures.
- Operate a company vehicle to execute scheduled installations.
- Participate in ongoing training; stay current with codes best practices and product updates.
Key Requirements :
High school diploma or GED.Five or more years of HVAC installation experience in residential settings (or equivalent combination of technical school and experience).Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems installation practices start-up procedures and airflow fundamentals.Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics wiring diagrams and technical manuals.Proficiency with trade math and use of hand and power tools; must supply personal hand tools.Comfortable using smartphones / tablets for work orders documentation and communication.Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.EPA certification preferred (not required).Demonstrated leadership on job sites with ability to guide and mentor supporting technicians.Consistent professional customer communication and teamwork.Physical Demands :
Regularly required to talk hear stand walk sit reach and handle tools / materials.Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.Visual acuity required : close distance color peripheral depth perception and focus adjustment.Work may involve ladders confined spaces attics basements and outdoor conditions.Preferred Qualifications :
