Gensco, a regional leader in sheet metal manufacturing, is looking for a self-motivated, trainable up and coming Industrial Equipment Maintenance Mechanic to join our Day Shift Team in Salem, OR !
- Schedule - Monday-Friday 6 : 00am - 2 : 30pm
- Full Time - Starting pay range is $23-$30 per hour based on experience
Summary
Troubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing equipment and systems including :
Electrical Systems : basic understanding of high / low voltage distribution, control circuits and data / signalMechanical Drive Systems : gearboxes, belts, pulleys, shafts, bearings, and conveyorsHydraulic Systems : pumps, hoses, cylinders, valves, and fittingsConduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance serviceMaintain equipment by completion of preventative maintenance and repair / replace defective parts when neededPerform routine repairs and maintenance on plant facilities and industrial manufacturing equipmentOperation of machine / equipment for testing, diagnosis, and preventive maintenanceAdjustment and calibration of machine / equipmentRead and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematicsUse hand and power tools to perform basic fabrication and carpentry, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, air conditioning, and plumbing repairs on production equipment, machinery, and facilityEducation / Experience / Skills
1-2 years of mechanical experience with electrical experience preferred1-2 years of related experience required to include working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and electrical systemsSome experience and ability in mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting and maintenance techniquesMust have the ability to demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical / electrical principles and conceptsBe able to work with each department to provide support to ensure day-to-day maintenance issues are resolved with a reliability mindsetRegularly and repetitively lift 50 pounds and frequently lift 75 pounds using proper lifting techniquesAble to work at heights up to 30 feetAble to move freely about the facility, climb stairs, stoop, bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods of time up to and over 8 hours a dayAbility to work overtime as neededHigh school diploma or GED requiredAbout Gensco
