Full Time Sr. Project Coordinator

The University of Miami / UHealth Department of SCCC has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Sr. Project Coordinator to work at the UHealth medical campus in Miami, Fl.

Core Job Summary : The Sr. Project Coordinator coordinates project activities to ensure projects are on schedule. This role provides administrative and logistical support including meeting arrangement, progress tracking, and documentation. In addition, this job also prepares comprehensive action plans that detail available resources, timeframes and budgets for projects.

Core Job Functions :

  • Assists with the assignment of tasks to internal teams to include schedule management.
  • Assists with budget preparation and tracks all project related expenditures.
  • Monitors project progress and addresses any issues that arise. Assists with the identification of completion shortfalls.
  • Acts as the point of contact and communicates the project status to relevant stakeholders. Communicates timeline changes and new information to project team.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports. Ensures all needed documentation is current and properly filed and stored.
  • Ensures adherence to standards and requirements by reviewing project objectives against deliverables.
  • Organizes, attends and participates in project meetings.
  • Prepares necessary presentation materials for project meetings.
  • Records minutes and takes detailed notes during meetings.
  • Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects.
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policy and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Core Qualifications : Education : High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience : Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Learning Agility : Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
  • Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
  • Technical Proficiency : Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
  • Communication : Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Department Specific Functions

    We are seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator to support our food insecurity program at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. This individual will help manage clinical and research activities, improve participant access to food, and contribute to the operational success of the project. The ideal candidate will have a background in nutrition, public health, or a related field. A Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) credential and ServSafe certification are preferred.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist cancer survivors with food access navigation and pantry-based support.
  • Support recruitment and enrollment of participants into research studies.
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for participant visits and events.
  • Maintain inventory and ordering of equipment and supplies.
  • Help collect, manage, and organize data related to participant engagement and program outcomes.
  • Collaborate with dietitians, social work, researchers, and community partners.
  • Support survey distribution and qualitative interviews.
  • Ensure compliance with study protocols and institutional requirements.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to ongoing program improvement.
  • Collaborates with CRANE Lab research support on the development and implementation of Lifestyle Medicine programs.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Health Education, or a related field required (preferred).
  • DTR credential (preferred).
  • ServSafe or similar certification (preferred).
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
  • Experience working with vulnerable or clinical populations preferred, especially in oncology, nutrition, or community health (preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort working with both clinical teams and community members.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and / or data entry platforms (e.g., REDCap) is a plus.
