Our client, a leader in digital accessibility, is seeking an Accessibility Web Engineer to join their team. As an Accessibility Web Engineer, you will be part of the Accessibility Compliance Team supporting the development of accessible web solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for creating inclusive digital experiences which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title : Accessibility Web Engineer

Location : Sacramento, California (Remote)

Pay Range : up to$70.00 per hour

What's the Job?

  • Maintain WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards and review current policies, processes, and design systems.
  • Perform accessibility testing utilizing various assistive technologies to identify defects and recommend solutions.
  • Develop accessibility test procedures, ensuring all WCAG 2.2 Success Criteria are addressed.
  • Provide knowledge transfer of accessibility requirements and best practices to the Accessibility Compliance Team.
  • Document solutions and maintain system documentation synchronized with changes.

What's Needed?

  • Ten (10) years of digital accessibility experience in designing for web accessibility standards.
  • Proficiency in performing automated and manual testing, including the use of screen readers and color contrast validation tools.
  • Experience in web application design, front-end development, and test methodologies.
  • Strong skills in designing user flows, wireframes, and prototyping.
  • Ability to organize complex technical procedures and define accessibility test methodologies.
