Trim Crew Manager
Come join the growing field of cannabis! We are searching for a full time Trim Crew Manager to lead our Trim Crew in Garden City (right by Greeley).
The Trim Crew Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the cannabis trimming and processing team to ensure quality, efficiency, compliance, and consistency in product preparation. This role involves managing the trim room operations and trim crew, maintaining equipment, organizing workflow, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Pay $22.00- $24.00 / hour
Schedule - Scheduled 5 days a week Monday - Friday 7 : 30am - 4 : 00pm
Key Responsibilities :
Set up and prepare the trim room daily, ensuring all equipment, tools, and materials are clean, sanitized, and ready for use.
Ensure compliance with SOPs for cleaning and sanitizing the trim room and all tools before and after each trim session.Organize workstations for optimal workflow, ensuring trimmers have quick access to necessary materials to maximize productivity.Maintain a hygienic workspace to prevent contamination of the product.Crew Management & Workflow OptimizationCoordinate daily tasks for the trimming crew and oversee their adherence to SOPs and performance expectations.
Implement and supervise a "buck and trim" system to streamline processes, where trimmers handle both bucking and trimming in efficient cycles.Monitor productivity by grouping similar strains for trimmers and minimizing setup time by organizing workflow.Manage breaks and ensure crew practices ergonomics to prevent fatigue and maintain focus.Work to build trimmer speed and efficiency over time.Trim side by side with staff by hand and on machines to reinforce good trimming habits.Inventory & ReportingTrack all trimmed cannabis products and complete detailed inventory records per SOP guidelines.
Work closely with the Inventory Manager to ensure accurate data entry into METRC for each harvest batch, including plant weights, strains, and waste.Perform regular audits of inventory to verify the accuracy of trim crew counts against inventory records and METRC.Maintain accurate and timely reporting of waste by logging all trim waste into METRC.Equipment MaintenanceRegularly inspect and clean all trim-related equipment per SOP guidelines.
Schedule and perform necessary maintenance to extend equipment longevity and ensure optimal performance.Maintain a record of equipment upkeep and report any issues or required repairs to management promptly.Compliance & SafetyEnforce regulatory compliance, ensuring that all trim room activities adhere to cannabis industry and company regulations.
Implement strict waste management procedures, including documenting and properly disposing of plant waste according to compliance standards.Ensure METRC waste entries are completed accurately, associating waste with correct harvest batches and verifying all details before submission.Quality ControlMonitor trimming standards for uniformity, quality, and adherence to company-defined specifications.
Implement consistent product inspections to meet quality benchmarks, adjusting workflow if any quality issues arise.Work closely with cultivation and inventory / packaging teams to provide feedback on product quality and yield after trimming.Scheduling & ReportingOrganize and schedule trim crew shifts according to the facility's production demands and ensure adequate staffing.
Document and Report Late and Absent Staff IssuesSubmit detailed weekly and monthly trim reports to management, including productivity metrics, waste logs, and any issues or improvements noted.Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cannabis trimming and handling or similar environment; previous management experience preferred.Technical Skills : Familiarity with cannabis industry inventory systems, specifically METRC, and proficient in Google Sheets and Google Forms. General computer literacy is a plus.Organizational Skills : Excellent ability to organize, manage, and prioritize crew tasks while maintaining productivity and quality.Regulatory Knowledge : In-depth understanding of cannabis industry compliance standards, safety protocols, and METRC reporting.Interpersonal Skills : Strong communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with multiple departments.We are an EEO Employer!
