What You will Do :

  • Set up and operate Zeiss CMMs to inspect parts according to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Develop and optimize inspection programs using Zeiss software (e.g., Calypso) to measure parts accurately
  • Analyze measurement data, generate CMM reports, and identify any deviations from the required tolerances
  • Ensure manufactured parts meet the quality standards and collaborate with manufacturing engineering and quality to address issues
  • Perform thorough inspections of prototype and production parts, ensuring they meet close tolerance and quality requirements
  • Verify assemblies and components for dimensional accuracy
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results, including creating and maintaining inspection reports. Ensure compliance with quality system procedures and documentation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel

What You Will Bring :

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology or equivalent from a technical school preferred
  • 3-5 years of related experience in CMM Zeiss Calypso programming
  • Understanding of manufacturing principles and SPC process is a plus
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and documentation.
  • Proficiency in setting up and operating Zeiss CMMs and experience with relevant software (Calypso)
  • Ability to validate CMM programs
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Experience with various measurement tools and techniques
  • Ability to analyze measurement data, identify trends, and interpret results
  • Additional duties as assigned by the customer
  • Work Requirements :   This role is considered an on-site position located in  Southwick, MA.

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Travel requirements :  Due to the nature of the work, 0% of travel is required.

    Citizenship requirement :  Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
