OB / Gyn Hospitalist - Academic Position
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking an OB / Gyn Academic Hospitalist at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor to join the Division of OB / Gyn Hospital Medicine. Successful applicants are not required to be residents of California although they must hold an active California medical license. Scheduling flexibility with the possibility of remote residence makes this academic position unique and attractive.
The primary focus of the Hospitalists is the clinical care of obstetric patients at UCSF Mission Bay. Clinical duties include twelve 12-hour L&D shifts per month with the opportunity to do shifts in the OB Emergency Department and take gynecology call to maintain proficiency in surgical skills, if desired. Shifts include a balance of days, nights, weekends and holidays. There is also an exciting opportunity for interested and qualified candidates to become part of the Multidisciplinary Approach to the Placenta Service (MAPS), which provides perioperative and surgical care to placenta accreta spectrum cases.
L&D shift responsibilities include :
Ideal candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB / Gyn. A minimum of 3 years post-residency experience, completion of an OB / Gyn Hospitalist fellowship or demonstrated exceptional interest and / or leadership in hospital medicine is preferred. Experience in high volume, high-risk obstetrics is also preferred.
Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and achievements.
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See . The minimum base salary range for this position is $127,000-$333,700. This position includes membership in the which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. UCSF Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences has a total salary plan that uses National benchmarking standards to set salaries by subspecialty.
