Scanner Position

Essential Functions

The Scanner is responsible for accurately converting paper documents into digital format, ensuring that all files are properly named, organized, and stored within the company's electronic filing system. This role supports the organization's record management processes and contributes to maintaining efficient and accessible document archives.

• Prepare paper documents for scanning by removing staples, paper clips, and bindings.
• Operate scanners and other imaging equipment to digitize physical documents.
• Review scanned images for clarity, completeness, and accuracy.
• Organize and index scanned files according to established naming conventions and filing procedures.
• Upload digital files into document management systems or shared drives.
• Perform quality checks to ensure proper file formatting and document legibility.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and confidential records.
• Track and report completed scanning projects or daily production counts.
• Handle, sort, and store physical documents after scanning (e.g., filing, boxing, or shredding).
• Assist with general office or clerical duties as assigned (e.g., filing, data entry, mail sorting).
• Support other departments with administrative tasks and special projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in document imaging, records management, or clerical work preferred. Basic computer literacy, including knowledge of file management and Microsoft Office. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to handle repetitive tasks efficiently and accurately. Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team. Familiarity with office equipment such as scanners, copiers, and printers.

Compensation Information : $18.00 -19.00 / hour.
