Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Sunbelt Staffing is looking for a compassionate and skilled Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Norfolk, VA , in partnership with a trusted home health agency. This role requires a dedicated RN to provide high-quality, patient-focused care in a home setting. Proficiency with Homecare Homebase software is required to ensure seamless patient management and care delivery.

Contract Details :

  • Hiring Company : Sunbelt Staffing
  • Client : Nationwide Home Health agency
  • Location : Norfolk, VA, and surrounding areas
  • Type : 13 week contract, with possibility of extension
  • Hours : Full-time, Scheduled 40 hours / week - no guaranteed hours
  • Monday-Friday (8 : 00am-5 : 00pm), occasional on-call, typically one weekend per month
  • Productivity : 25-32 per week, up to 35 patients per week
  • Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k)
  • Mileage : .48c visit to visit, 150-250 miles per week expected
  • Compensation : Negotiable hourly rate based on territory budget and experience; hourly pay - not by visit; blended pay packages available for travelers
  • Travelers : Blended pay packages with stipends available

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct in-home patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in coordination with the hospice team.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  • Complete all necessary documentation usingHomecare Homebase software.
  • Provide patient and family education to promote understanding of hospice care.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to coordinate care and discuss patient needs.
  • Requirements :

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of home health experience and 1 year of hospice experience.
  • Proficiency in OASIS and Homecare Homebase software.
  • Reliable transportation for home visits.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
