Field Technician
The Field Technician will predominantly be engaged in construction-related inspections, requiring specific certifications and / or experience. You will perform daily inspections of construction projects, ensuring quality and compliance with building code requirements, construction drawings, and project specifications. Inspections may span multiple disciplines, including structural steel, concrete, masonry, and fireproofing. This role involves visual and physical inspections, field testing to verify plan and specification conformity, preparing inspection reports, and providing written documentation of observations and material testing. Communication with engineers or project managers is essential, along with collaborating with the project team to address potential issues. Adherence to strict safety standards is crucial.

Work Environment
Work hours are 8 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays if needed. The position typically works outdoors in varying weather conditions, around heavy operating equipment and traffic ways. It may require work at heights on ladders, in confined areas, exposure to hostile flora and fauna, with moderate noise levels. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, respiratory protection, and appropriate clothing are required. The role involves regular standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting up to 30 pounds, and using hands for manipulation. Specific vision abilities are necessary, including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. May require overnight travel to support projects in various locations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr.
