Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Community Manager to help support and scale Apple’s presence in the Swift community. In this role, you’ll shape how Apple shows up for developers using Swift — whether they’re learning the language, building great apps, contributing to open source projects, or coming together at events.
You’ll join a growing team building Apple’s developer community strategy from the ground up — with cross-functional collaboration and room to make a lasting impact. If you’re excited to deepen relationships with developers and bring new energy to the way Apple supports its community, we’d love to hear from you. Let's shape how Apple shows up in the developer ecosystem — one contributor, event, and connection at a time.
Description
Swift is one of the most powerful ways to build for Apple platforms — and behind it is a passionate, global community of developers, educators, and contributors from across the ecosystem.
You’ll help design and run developer-facing programs, build relationships with key contributors, and collaborate across Apple to bring community initiatives to life. This is a unique opportunity to build something new at Apple — helping connect deeply with Swift developers across Apple platforms and partnering closely with teams engaged in the open source Swift ecosystem that powers the language’s evolution.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in developer community engagement, technical program management, or Developer Relations
Familiar with the Swift language and its ecosystem, or similar programming languages and technical communities
Preferred Qualifications
Strong communicator and relationship-builder who can elevate community voices and support contributors across backgrounds
Can lead programs from concept to execution — organizing timelines, aligning partners, and launching with quality
Have a thoughtful, authentic presence in technical spaces and enjoy representing your company with humility and clarity
Energized by building new programs, learning from developers, and helping shape how community shows up at scale
Experience engaging with developer or technical communities at scale — especially around programming languages, governance models, or contribution frameworks
Familiarity with the Swift Evolution process and how community feedback informs language direction
Can turn developer insights into meaningful programs, content, and relationships
Strong writing skills — technical blog posts, contributor spotlights, community updates
Understanding of how developers learn — especially students and early-career audiences
Prior experience at a platform or developer tools company
Familiarity with GitHub workflows, documentation systems, and community project dynamics
