Full Charge Bookkeeper
We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role will focus on managing and maintaining financial records and supporting daily accounting operations for a well-established clothing and textile company. The position is part-time, requiring 20 hours of work per week, and offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment in New York, New York.
Responsibilities :
- Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain up-to-date general ledger records.
- Process payroll efficiently and handle employee expense reimbursements.
- Manage credit card transactions and ensure proper documentation of payments.
- Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Compile and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Utilize QuickBooks for day-to-day accounting tasks and financial tracking.
- Generate detailed expense reports and provide analysis when needed.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to address any financial discrepancies or concerns.
Requirements :
A minimum of 3 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping.Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing accounting functions.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.Solid understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations and manage journal entries.Familiarity with payroll systems and handling employee expenses.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
