Grand Canyon University is seeking a Student Worker to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through the GCU Esports Department.

Purpose within the Organization :

In this position, you will work with a team to produce live broadcasts for GCU Esports competitive and community teams as a game observer.

Responsibilities include :

  • Setup and test equipment.
  • Communicate with team members during broadcasts.
  • Gain knowledge of game analytics for VALORANT and Rocket League.
  • Attend and participate in weekly meetings for broadcasts.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Equipment Used and Responsibilities :

  • Microsoft Office 365 – Word, Excel, Teams
  • Windows and Mac operating systems

    • Qualifications :

  • Flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds of equipment.
  • Proven knowledge and willingness to learn collegiate esports titles and gaming systems.
  • Demonstrated passion for esports gaming.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Maintain professionalism in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.

    • Education :

    Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements :

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's or Master's program.
  • Maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher for Bachelor's students, 3.0 or higher for Master's students.
  • Maintain good financial and academic standing with the university.

    • Note : You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

    Pay Rate : Minimum Wage

    Anticipated End Date : June 30, 2026
