About The Position

Job Title : Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Profession : Nuclear Med Tech

Hours per Shift : 08 : 00-17 : 00

Experience : Minimum of 1 year required

License : TMB and ARRT licenses required

Certifications : Basic Life Support license required

Description : Unit Information :

This position is within the Nuclear Medicine department.

The unit has a total of 200 beds.

There are 5 staff members in the nuclear department.

Staff consist of 2 on day shift in the hospital, 2 in the clinic, and on-call staff on weekends.

Patient Ratios :

Specific patient ratios have not been provided.

Type of Equipment :

The following equipment is used : GE Discovery / Xeleris and Case Machine in the hospital.

In the clinic, GE Ventri / Xeleris and Case Machine are utilized.

The EMR system in use is Meditech.

Typical Skill Set :

Candidates must possess basic life support skills.

TMB and ARRT licenses are required.

Preferred candidates should have cardiac and general experience.

PET experience is not required but considered a plus.

Typical Procedures :

Common procedures performed include SPECT stress tests (Lexiscan and Dobutamine), treadmill tests, bone scans, HIDA scans (with or without CCK), lung perfusion, amyloid scans, renal flow scans (with or without Lasix), MUGA scans, In-111 WBC scans, GI bleeding studies, and gastric emptying tests.
