Why we need you

Springboard Collaborative invites talented and passionate candidates to apply for the position of Future Forward Tutor. Our tutors help struggling elementary school readers using our program lesson plans with fidelity . This is a part-time, in-person, fixed-term p osition in Fresno for the 2025-2026 school year, with an expected time commit ment of 20 hour s / week and a pa y rate of $27.70-30 / hour. Tutors must be available at least three consistent days per week, and we hope for new tutors to start in early fall.

Here are your responsibilities :

  • Create individualized lesson plans, following the set program format, for all assigned students
  • Conduct one-on-one tutoring with several students (three 30-minute sessions per student per week)
  • Complete all reports, lesson plans, and documentation as required
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with teammates, school staff, and families
  • Maintain detailed documentation of program implementation and each participant to monitor reading progress and report on program impact
  • Participate in programs, projects, and special events

Here are the competencies and requirements we expect the right candidate to have :

  • Attention to detail : You adhere closely to the curricula provided, take detailed notes of student progress, stay organized in your work, and closely observe student challenges.
  • Communication : You excel in both oral and written communication, explaining concepts clearly to students and writing notes effectively.
  • Relationship building : You build strong relationships with the students you tutor, their families, and school staff and faculty to inspire and empower student participants.
  • Valuing Equity : You relate effectively to a diverse population, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and compassion in your work and supporting an environment that embraces equity and inclusion.
  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You have experience working with children or youth programming
  • You have computer literacy with the ability to learn and utilize new technologies

  • Experience in early literacy education

    The pay for this position is $27.70-$30 / hour, based on your qualifications and experience, with an expected time commitment of 20 hours / week.

    Location

    This role will be performed on-site in Fresno, CA, at one or multiple school sites.

    The pay range for this role is :
