Software System Test Engineer

Senior System / Test Engineer to join our world class engineering team and the talented team that develops enhancements and modifications to existing software systems. In this role you will be responsible for the continued development and maintenance of several mission software systems. You will be providing excellent technical guidance and team communication. You will provide informal testing as well as formal customer witness testing. You will function in a technical role in a maintenance and development environment and effectively work and communicate with all levels of Program Leadership, Customers, and Engineers on the Program team.

Responsibilities include :

• Collaborate with Program Leadership and teammates to design and develop software
• Assist in providing technical direction and clarification to team members (including subcontractors) during the entire software development lifecycle; from conceptualization and design to development, testing, deployment, and operations
• Apply systems engineering expertise in particular to feature designs to reduce overall risk to the software development lifecycle
• Create and execute regression and system release test procedures for pertinent systems. Testing includes internal informal testing as well as formal customer witness testing
• Engage with customer user representatives to gather user needs and incorporate into the feature designs
• Engage with SMEs from other disciplines on the team to fully understand the solution and document the designs
• Experience with authoring and executing formal test procedures both for internal testing and customer witness testing
• Ability to accurately document discrepancies and problems in the appropriate tools utilized by the program
