Controls Engineer

Role Overview

Youll be responsible for designing programming validating and optimizing automated equipment and control systems used in medical / pharma manufacturing. The job demands strong Rockwell expertise hands-on troubleshooting ability and strict compliance with validation and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop modify and troubleshoot Rockwell Automation PLC programs (ControlLogix CompactLogix FactoryTalk HMI / SCADA).

Implement and maintain Rockwell motion control solutions including servo tuning camming and coordinated motion.

Integrate and configure machine vision systems (Cognex Keyence) for inspection alignment measurement and rejection workflows.

Lead IQ / OQ / PQ validation activities for automated equipment in compliance with FDA GAMP and pharma regulatory guidelines.

Prepare validation documents : URS FS DS FAT / SAT protocols test scripts deviation reports and traceability matrices.

Work with cross-functional teams (quality process engineering manufacturing) to support equipment qualification investigations and change controls.

Drive root-cause analysis for automation failures and implement sustainable corrective actions.

Support audits and ensure all systems meet medical / pharma quality requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience in Rockwell Automation programming (PLC / HMI / SCADA).

Proven experience with Cognex and / or Keyence vision systems.

Solid understanding of Rockwell motion control including servo / axis configuration.

Experience executing and documenting IQ / OQ / PQ validation in regulated industries.

Knowledge of pharma / medical device standards (21 CFR Part 11 GAMP 5 cGMP).

Ability to read electrical schematics P&IDs control panel layouts.

Strong troubleshooting skills - electrical controls and automation.
