Position Summary : The Retail Warehousing (RSS) squad is the conduit for delivering end-user inventory management capabilities and innovations to locations. Primary Responsibilities / Accountabilities : As part of the Digital, Analytics, and Technology team, the Tech Lead will : Design and Develop SolutionsLead the design and implementation of custom applications, integrations, and cloud-based services. Define and execute technology solutions that align with enterprise timelines and strategic objectives. Write specifications for customizations, system integrations, and data migrations. Drive Modernization and InnovationGuide the application’s journey from monolithic systems to cloud-native (AWS) architectures. Champion cross-platform development approaches that work seamlessly across large and small views. Ensure long-term system reliability, scalability, and supportability. Leadership and MentorshipMentor and coach team members, fostering growth and strong engineering practices. Influence other technical leads, engineers, product partners, and managers to align on technical strategies. Act as a key decision-maker on architecture and design choices. Collaboration and ExecutionPartner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to deliver solutions that meet critical business needs. Contribute to high-priority, strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Ensure deliverables meet both technical and business expectations. Qualifications : 8 years of software engineering experience, with 2 years in a Tech Lead or equivalent role. Hands-on experience with custom application development, integration technologies, and cloud migration (AWS preferred). Strong expertise in modern programming languages / frameworks (e.g., Java, React JS and React Native, database Aurora / NoSQL or similar). Proven ability to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Supply Chain applications a plus. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Preferred : Prior experience leading modernization efforts (monolith decoupling, cloud-native transformations, UX revamps). Strong understanding of DevOps, CI / CD, and modern engineering practices. Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence cross-functional partners.
