Job Summary
The Production Control Supervisor plays a critical role responsible for overseeing the entire production planning and scheduling process for multiple manufacturing facilities. This position ensures the efficient and timely production of products to meet customer demand and maintain optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and a proven ability to manage complex production schedules to maximize plant efficiency and profitability.

Job Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling :
Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for all concrete block / hardscape-making machinesCollaborate with the sales and dispatch teams to prioritize customer orders and ensure on-time deliveryMonitor raw material levels (e.g., aggregates, cement, admixtures) and coordinate with the production teams to prevent shortagesAdjust schedules in real-time to account for equipment maintenance, unexpected downtime, or changes in customer ordersInventory & Materials Management :
Oversee the management of raw material stock and finished goods inventoryWork with yard managers to optimize the storage and rotation of finished productImplement strategies to minimize waste and breakage during the production and curing processesConduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to ensure accuracyTeam Leadership :
Supervise, train, and mentor a team of production planners and operations coordinatorsConduct performance evaluations, set clear expectations, and foster a team-oriented environment focused on safety and qualityProcess Improvement & Reporting :
Analyze production data, including machine uptime, cycle times, and scrap rates, to identify areas for efficiency improvementsCollaborate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance to minimize unscheduled downtimeGenerate and present reports on production output, on-time delivery, and inventory status to managementChampion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives within the production control departmentJob Requirements
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with significant experience in concrete related manufacturing2+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership roleProven experience with production planning, scheduling, and inventory controlStrong proficiency with ERP / MRP systems and production scheduling softwareDeep understanding of the concrete batching, molding, and curing processesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to make quick, data-driven decisionsExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reportingWhat CRH Offers You
