Property Manager - Affordable Housing
SMC is seeking a Property Manager to maintain the physical, administrative, and financial aspects of our affordable housing properties in [City], New York. Essential role and responsibilities include ensuring the property is audit ready, maintaining accurate resident records, managing maintenance and office team, overseeing move-in and move-out processes, showing prospective residents' property, conducting annual / internal audits, ensuring on time completion of certifications and re-certifications, developing, implementing, and maintaining a new tenant orientation program, establishing community partnerships with agencies, preparing various reports required for regulatory agencies, resolving complaints and grievances, ensuring the security system provides the maximum safe environment for the development, overseeing maintenance staff, generating and maintaining various logs, preparing purchase orders, issuing appropriate notices, and other duties as assigned by management.
Pay : $55,000 - $85,000 per year.
Position requirements include 1-2 years of property management experience, knowledge of Section 8, LIHTC, and / or other affordable housing programs, understanding of NYC local laws, familiarity with requirements of HUD, HDC, LIHTC, HFA, HCR, HPD, experience with SitCompli and Yardi, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
