Demand Planner (Bolingbrook)

MAGNA-TILES is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Demand Planner with 3+ years of experience, preferably in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. The candidate will be responsible for optimizing the demand forecast and ensuring product availability within the supply chain. They will work closely with the supply planner, sales, marketing, and operations teams to optimize the demand planning process and support operational and business goals. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, familiarity with supply chain processes, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to meet company objectives.

What Were Looking For

• Assist in leading the Sales and Operational Planning efforts within the company.
• Conduct comprehensive analysis of historical sales, market trends, seasonal fluctuations, promotions, point-of-sales (POS) data, and inventory levels to generate accurate demand forecasts.
• Monitor retailer inventory levels and future demand to prevent stock-outs and overstock situations.
• Work closely with Sales, Product Management, and Marketing teams understanding marketing initiatives, promotions, and Portfolio Management that may impact overall demand.
• Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, forecasts, and other relevant metrics to management and other internal functions including current demand risks and opportunities in the monthly S&OP Meetings.
• Work closely with the Supply Planner to provide demand forecast changes and promotional opportunities to ensure timely ordering and replenishment of inventory.
• Coordinate with Operations and Sales teams to ensure efficient product flow and timely delivery.
• Prepare and present reports key performance indicators (KPIs) to management to track forecast accuracy and help identify areas for improvement.
• Help establish forecasting tools and software to support inventory planning decisions.
• Prepare and conduct demand alignment meetings to identify demand variances, risks and opportunities assisting in resolving discrepancies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory management efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory planning and management.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Other duties identified to drive performance and meet business needs.
