About the Role
Were looking for a Software Project Manager who can lead multiple software development projects from concept to delivery while serving as a trusted partner to clients and cross-functional teams. This role requires a balance of technical understanding, strong communication, and strategic project leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end software project execution from kickoff to post-launch support.
- Define scope, timelines, and success metrics with engineering teams and clients.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the development lifecycle.
- Coordinate UAT, deployments, and go-live activities.
- Facilitate retrospectives and drive continuous improvement.
Client Partnership
Serve as the primary contact for client communication and relationship management.Conduct project status updates, expectation management, and client health checks.Lead onboarding and kickoff processes for new client engagements.Navigate complex stakeholder needs and resolve issues effectively.Resource & Team Coordination
Manage resource allocation and utilization across multiple active projects.Forecast capacity needs over 36-month planning windows.Mentor team members on project processes and best practices.Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance on project planning and execution.Financial & Operational Management
Track project budgets, timelines, and profitability.Support estimation, scoping, and pricing discussions.Ensure accurate time tracking, billing, and reconciliation.Assist with pre-sales and technical discussions as needed.Process & Quality Oversight
Maintain standardized project lifecycle processes and quality controls.Manage documentation, project artifacts, and internal knowledge resources.Ensure adherence to development and delivery standards.Identify opportunities for operational improvement.Qualifications
Required
Bachelors degree in Project Management or a related field.3+ years of experience managing multiple software development projects.Strong understanding of SDLC and both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.Experience with project management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Asana, or similar.Proven record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred
Technical background or coding experience.Experience managing maintenance or retainer-based client relationships.PMP, Scrum Master, or similar certification.Professional services or agency environment experience.Experience in business analysis or requirements gathering.
