Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating various machines such as drill lines, anglematic, brake presses, burn tables, duplicators, paranas, and transfer tables. You must read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to carefully set up, select, position, secure, and operate production machinery under established procedures and guidelines. The Machine Operator will accurately and timely adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specifications.

Hours : Monday - Friday 5am-5pm. Saturday 5am-10am.

Essential Functions :

Rigorously inspect materials before, during, and after processing to ensure quality control of the finished product
Read and interpret written instructions from cut-sheets
Ensure machines are operating properly and safely
Provides basic maintenance to the machine(s) to properly operate
Prepare materials to be processed
Operate cranes to move material
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Comply with Company and OHSA policies
Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Knowledge and ability to distinguish different types of materials.

Knowledge of metal and basic shop fabrication equipment.

Ability to read and understand blueprints and diagrams

Ability to withstand pressure and adapt to changes

Ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Six months experience operating various types of production machinery

Physical Requirements :

Frequent prolonged standing, be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.

Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual agility, coordination, and stamina.
