What You’ll Be Serving Up :
As an Equipment Engineer you will drive design, testing, commercialization implementation and ongoing quality of existing BOH equipment with a focus on continuous improvement. This position shall facilitate strategic partnerships with key vendors, RSCS and franchisees to enable the flawless implementation of equipment solutions and other technology-based solutions. This role involves analyzing equipment & labor capacity models and simulation models that align with business goals. This will involve managing multiple vendor relationships, making data-based decisions to anticipate the need for the business, and leveraging system scale to drive efficiency.
Here’s How You’ll Spice Things Up :
- Leads Equipment Development Process (EDP) including prototype development, business case, lab testing, specifications, and field testing. Maintains accountabilities for all functional specifications.
- Works with Operations, A&E, Facilities & FIT to initiate equipment centered initiatives that lead to a reduction in BOH complexity and / or cost savings.
- Support development pipeline through restaurant layout reviews, BOH flow optimization and RSCS distributor model revisions
- Provides results in oriented technical support to field operators on equipment issues in existing restaurants.
- Develops and builds supplier relationships to drive innovation, continuous improvement and quality for equipment
- Seek out and identify areas of technology-based improvements then develop actionable strategies.
- Work in partnership with all business functional areas, outside vendors and franchise owners
- Ensures equipment quality is maintained and leads any resolution of quality failures to ensure consistency in Core offerings
- Responsible for Alternate Vendor Approval (AVA) for equipment ensuring secure supply chain
- Develops & maintain capacity modeling for equipment, workstations, and labor models
- Assures strong ties with peers in all YUM Engineering functions (across Brands and Core Competencies).
- Uncover, lead and support productivity improvement initiatives for entire KFC US System.
What You Bring to the Table :
