We are seeking a BIM Modeler / CAD Technician specializing in Electrical or Mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Electrical Designer with a passion for Building Information Modeling (BIM) and a background in MEP systems. You will be a vital part of a highly creative and efficient MEP BIM team, working on challenging and complex projects with innovative solutions for Data Center facilities.

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems for Data Centers, utilizing Revit to create and maintain BIM models.

Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, interacting with internal groups, external suppliers, consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.

Prepare and develop detailed Revit models of Electrical building systems.

Develop and publish construction documentation for Electrical building systems designs in a fast-paced environment to meet scheduled deliverables.

Update and modify existing models, studies, and construction documents as required.

Participate in design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution.

Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.

Assist the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers.

Essential Skills

2 years of design / engineering experience with Electrical Building systems or Mechanical Plumbing on mission-critical facilities.

2 years of experience using Revit for producing complex BIM models and construction drawings for Electrical or Mechanical building systems.

Practical knowledge and understanding of codes and safety regulations related to the MEP industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience directly related to Data Center design and construction.

Experience with developing Revit Family content.

Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Dynamo, RF Tools, CTC Tools, and Procore.

Understanding of building systems and large-scale project design.

Work Environment

This position is remote within Seattle, with a preference for periodic onsite meetings. However, it is open to fully remote work for the right candidate. You will be part of a dynamic and energetic DS BIM design team, working to deliver data center designs. A willingness to learn processes used within the DS BIM group is highly valued.

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00 / hr.
