We are searching for an entry-level Construction Project Assistant to provide onsite support for the project management team of a construction firm. This position is responsible for handling administrative and construction-related tasks and offers a strong foundation for professional growth in the industry. This position is contract-to-hire.
Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers with documentation, scheduling, and coordination tasks.
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
- Ensure compliance with company and project policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain logs for change orders, submittals, and document control.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain required documentation and drawings.
- Assist in preparing documentation for construction meetings and project reports.
- Attend project meetings and provide administrative support to the project team.
- Monitor contractor activities and project progress to ensure timelines are met.
- Support field personnel and assist with on-site project coordination.
- Assist with general administrative tasks including payroll, job files, and communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
Associates or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiarity with project management software.Understanding of construction principles including civil, architectural, and mechanical systems.Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements.Self-motivated, proactive, and a collaborative team player.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
