job_description.job_card.job_descriptionDegree in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math, or related field). Strong numeracy, problem-solving, and analytical ability. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL, Python, or VBA is highly desirable. Knowledge of risk metrics (VaR, Greeks, stress testing) and valuation methodologies a plus. Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams. Demonstrated interest in commodities (especially energy) and / or financial markets. Entrepreneurial mindset with ambition, adaptability, and strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce daily P&L and risk reports; analyze drivers of changes and communicate results to traders and management.
- Monitor and explain exposure across various regional portfolios.
- Ensure accurate trade capture, reconciliation, and lifecycle maintenance.
- Enhance reporting, risk models, and processes through automation and system improvements.
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis to support commercial decisions.
- Collaborate across functions and global offices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- On-site presence in Houston is required.
