November 2025 Position Summary : The Education Technology Specialist provides supporting teaching and learning opportunities for the College’s faculty and students.The Education Technology Specialist’s main function is to provide LMS support for faculty and students.Example of Job Duties :
Under the direction of the Director of Education Technology or other manager or administrator, the Education Technology Specialist is accountable is responsible for effective performance in these essential duties : Support faculty and academic staff with the implementation of instructional technology; Provide training programs and support to faculty and staff on the use of instructional technologies, including course management systems; Administrative support.This posting includes qualifications, experience and skills but is not limited to the full specifications stated in the job description.Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in in Instructional Technology or other appropriately related field together with one (1) or more years of related experience; or a combination of education, training and experience which would lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the position’s essential duties.Incumbents are required to have demonstrated advanced knowledge and abilities in the following :
Application of computers and internet to transmission of instruction, including information technology literacy skills.Familiarity with training methodology.Familiarity with course management systems.Candidates must possess proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students.They are expected to have excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.).Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with Blackboard Ultra.Familiarity with Teams or WebEx.Salary :
