Position Overview
The Director of Nursing oversees the organization, coordination, and supervision of all clinical services at Nightingale Home Healthcare. This includes skilled and non-skilled staff as well as contracted personnel providing direct care. The DON ensures high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective home health services while promoting excellence in patient outcomes.

Coordinate the planning and delivery of safe, high-quality, cost-effective careDevelop and supervise an effective staffing planParticipate in hiring, onboarding, and staff evaluationsEstablish strategies to ensure high-quality health care deliveryAssist in developing and updating administrative and clinical policies and proceduresMonitor clinical documentation to ensure compliance with agency policies and Medicare / Medicaid guidelinesMaintain knowledge of licensure, accreditation, and regulatory requirementsOversee interdisciplinary coordination of careProvide leadership, training, and support to clinical staffQualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in ILMinimum 2 years of Home Health experienceAt least 1 year of supervisory experience in Home HealthMinimum 1 year of OASIS experienceStrong understanding of federal / state Home Health and Medicare regulationsWellSky (Kinnser) experience preferredPhysical exam within 12 months prior to patient careCurrent TB test (within 12 months)Current CPR certificationValid driver's licenseAbility to work Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM at our office
