Chief Modeler (M&S)

A company is looking for a Chief Modeler (M&S) for the FAA BNATCS.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a team of modelers, providing technical guidance and developing a strategic roadmap for Modeling and Simulation (M&S) activities

Oversee the creation of high-fidelity models and simulations to evaluate system performance and operational scenarios

Analyze simulation results to provide actionable insights for system design and operational planning

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Systems, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline; Master's Degree preferred

15+ years of overall experience, with 10+ years in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for mission-critical systems

5+ years of leadership experience managing teams of modelers or engineers

Domain experience in FAA / NAS systems, including Communication, Surveillance, Automation, and Facilities

Familiarity with FAA Systems Engineering Manual (SEM) and safety analysis tooling (e.g., FTA / FMEA tools)
