SFC NOVA LLC dba Sticky Fingers Cooking® is looking for enthusiastic part-time Chef Instructors to help us Cultivate COOLinary Curiosity in Kids®! (Note that we only accept Virginia candidates at this time)

What You'll Do

  • Lead Hands-On Cooking Classes : Teach kids how to chop, mix, measure, and create healthy, exciting recipes from around the world.
  • Spark Creativity : Introduce kids to new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures in an engaging, interactive way.
  • Stay Organized : Prepare for classes using provided curricula, shop for fresh ingredients, and set up fun, safe kitchen environments.
  • Be the Face of Fun : Inspire and encourage kids as they gain confidence in the kitchen.

    • Who You Are

  • Reside in the Northern Virginia area, especially Mclean, Falls Church and Arlington (Unfortunately, we are unable to hire chef instructors from DC and MD at this time)
  • Experience in working with kids of various ages and backgrounds is a HUGE PLUS!
  • Available to teach 1 hour classes (on campus approx 90 mins) at least 2 days a week between 2 : 30-6 PM, Mondays- Fridays.
  • Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-12 kids. Must arrive on campus 20-30 minutes prior to scheduled class time. Varies per school.
  • Able to commit to teaching sessions that run 6-12 weeks.
  • Have or willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
  • Lift up to 30 lbs to store and transport materials.
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation.
  • Must pass state and FBI background checks as a condition of employment.
  • FCPS badge is a plus, but not required.

    • A Day in the Life

    As a Sticky Fingers Cooking® instructor, you'll travel to different schools in your area to bring "the kitchen" to kids. Using our tried-and-true recipes, you'll teach them essential cooking skills, food safety, and the history and culture behind each dish-all while fostering creativity and confidence. From slicing and dicing to learning about global cuisines, kids will have a blast in your classes, and so will you!
